Bicycle! Bicycle! I want to ride my bicycle.....too bad I don't have one

I need to get a bike.
That's it.
Just a random thought.
Well, I have had this random thought quite a few times.
But I may really act on it ....soon...really.
Sooo, I have been looking at bikes 'cause truthfully I haven't been on one in more years than I like to think about.
Naturally, what it looks like is sorta important...to me anyway.
By the way, do you know how much bikes cost???
Hmmmm.....I must be living in a time warp. Or I've never had a decent bike.
Probably both.
Anyhoo, I have been looking around. I like the old fashioned, retro looking ones.
I think they call them cruisers or beach bikes.
And I totally want a "girls" bike.
Here are a few pics of the ones I like.

You will note that they are both orange. My favorite color.
I like the basket and daisy pattern on the second one.

Both bikes are between $200 and $400 dollars.
I need to keep looking.
Lol, I need to just get something and ride it.
Uh..ummm...nevermind.

So whaday'all think????

Stop Me If You've Heard This One!

A professional storyteller comes home to a burned down house.

His sobbing and slightly-singed wife is standing outside.

"What happened, honey?" the man asks.

"Oh, John, it was terrible," she weeps. "I was cooking, the phone rang.
It was a booking agent wanting to hire you for an event.
Because I was on the phone, I didn't notice the stove was on fire.
It went up in second. Everything is gone.
I nearly didn't make it out of the house. Poor Fluffy is..."

"Wait! Back up a minute," The man says.
"A booking agent wants to hire me?"

When I read this I thought, "Yep, that's just what I'd be thinking!"
My next thought would be "OMG! My books!"

As you can see, fluffy was found but she was never quite the same.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and other Paul Newman Films I Like

I am not or was not necessarily a big Paul Newman fan but there are a few films that he did that I have always loved.
The first is one of my all time favorite movies...."Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"....Love it!!!
I can (and have) watch(ed) that movie over and over again.

I also love the scene in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" when Paul rides around on the bike.
And Paul Newman and Robert Redford in "The Sting"....fabulous!

The Storyteller's Creed by Robert Fulghum

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge,
That myth is more potent than history,
That dreams are more powerful than facts,
That hope always triumphs over experience,
That laughter is the only cure for grief,
And I believe that love is stronger than death.
