Anyhoo, on February 9, 1964, the Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan Show and be came more of a .... Well, more than just a hit, something like a craze...a movement.
If you've ever seen tapes of the show the girls went wild.
Actually, if you watch this video you can see how popular they were before they even set foot on US soil.
This shows the Beatles arrival at JFK airport on the 7 th of February.
